Typing Times

These are typing times
But love I find
Across land and sea
With a push of a key
I can fly
Yet wonder why
You are not mine
In these typing times

It was a different type
Back before the hype

A girl like you to see
Back when love was free
Before the age of Papyrus
Was there ever a chance for us?

The types, they are a changing
Voices rearranging

Roman and Ransom
Am I handsome?
In all my words
You’re beautiful girl

These are the types that try men’s souls
Chiller, html code

Scary and horrific lines
Rejected and denied
While others say forget her
To link U and I together

But of course typing is everything
Try with such Calligraphy

I call you pretty and nice
Won’t be like all those guys
Don’t you understand?
My love’s not Jokerman

A type for everything
But not for you and me

Give me millions of perfect words
From me, unworthy of you girl
With these hands, this face, this time
I can’t seem to make you mine

These are typing times
But love I find
Across land and sea
A and Z
Yet wonder why
You type “goodbye”
You’re not mine
In these typing times
