Woe, woe, to the man in the dirt
Much too loud
Who says words don’t hurt
I love and I flirt
Yet moved by lust found
I’m not sure
What my face is worth
Or who I am now
Am I still that nerd
Shy words given to pretty girls
Yet not even a wow
As I learn
My own people spurn
Dare I ask why or how?
We should all burn
Hatred for us all earned
“You People” keep me down
Woe, woe, to the man in the dirt
Who says words don’t hurt
